We had to ask our psych to clarify her words from Wednesday when we saw her yesterday. The difference between leave and leaving hadn’t quite filtered down – yes, one day we will leave her and she will leave us and it will all be fine. But what some of us heard was that she’s leaving, like now. The difference in the two words just wasn’t evident to them, and they weren’t prepared to believe us. So we went over it again at the start of our appointment, with our psych being careful with her words, to make sure everyone understood the difference between what she was saying and what they were initially hearing. It worked – they needed to hear her explain it. Added to the fact she’s on annual leave next week – as is our CPN – it had all got a bit confusing. Still, it’s sorted now and everyone is happy that she isn’t leaving imminently. The rest of the appointment is a bit of a blur, as always, but at least C has reduced the screaming.
The more exciting (for us) news is that S wanted a spinner ring. Our friend, the imaginatively named X, sent a link to one she owns and S immediately wanted one the same. It turns out our friend’s one has seen better days so S has ordered one for us and a replacement one for her – there is much excitement for S today as she waits for our parcel and tracks the one going to our friend.
