Yesterday afternoon we followed our normal routine and strolled over to the hospital for our instant tea fix. It wasn’t wholly successful. We wore the wrong cardigan and got too hot, and the only seat was with our back to the corridor. What we should have done, with hindsight, was get our instant tea and walk home. What we did instead was try and sit it out, ending in a bit of a wobble.
This morning S went to Nero’s but the coffee was untouched on the side in the kitchen. I wasn’t sure if we were overtired, physically unwell or a bit mental. It was probably a combination of not sleeping – this is normal but we can usually catnap during the day – and a ‘hangover’ from yesterday’s wobble.
This evening, determined to not let a minor set back become a full step back, we again strolled across to the hospital. Instant tea, a very brief sit down – not pushing it this time – and a wander home. It was ok, better than yesterday, and that was with the added trigger of a police van outside the mental health department.
Thinking back, we’ve been pretty busy lately – on Wednesday we met our friend, Friday was therapy, on Saturday our daughter had a friend to sleep over, on Sunday we tracked and retrieved our daughter’s lost mobile from the person who found it and was allegedly going to hand it in.
In equally positive news, we’ve had our latest Nero’s loyalty card for six days, and have five stamps on it. Not bad considering the first one took over two months to fill.
