Should I ever get the opportunity, I am going to live on an island. Away from everyone and everything, with animals and books and wifi.
I will spend my time doing whatever I want, far removed from the stress and drama of the real world – a hermit with technology.
I may allow a select few, who want the isolation as much as me, to live on my island in remote cottages where we can wave to each other but that is as much social interaction as I require unless it’s virtual, hence the wifi.
The modern world is too hectic, to consumerist, too everything for me. There is too much drama, too much interfering. Too many people, too much noise.
As island living is unlikely to become a reality for me, I will continue to put my earphones in and block out the world. But if I win the lottery, you’ll find me on an otherwise uninhabited island.
