My uni essay has been getting me down lately but I didn’t realise quite how much until today.
My mentor came through today for her annual visit and, over coffee, we looked at all the essay guidance and my drafts. There have been constant changes and clarifications to the essay, much of it conflicting. I have been writing with no real idea of what I was meant to be doing.
It seems, however, that my drafts can be cobbled together into a reasonable essay – I just need to write the last bit and a conclusion. I have between 500-700 words left. Once that is done I can turn my attention to the report element and then I’m done, finished, no longer a student.
I’ve always been able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but for a while there I was starting to suspect it was an oncoming train.
